Vote for SixSq!

05 October 2017

In the face of huge competition, SixSq has been shortlisted for the Innovation Radar Prize 2017.

What is Innovation Radar?

The Innovation Radar is a European Commission initiative to identify high potential innovations and innovators in EU-funded research and innovation projects. Using the radar, 48 of the best EU-funded innovators have been identified to compete with their EU-funded innovation for the Innovation Radar Prize 2017.

The top 20 will get to compete in the Innovation Radar final at the ICT Proposers’ Day event in Budapest, which will take place on 9 November 2017.

SixSq is featured in the Industrial & Enabling Tech Category. This prize category aims to recognise new technologies and components that have industrial relevance and/or potential to enable the emergence of new applications.

Why is Innovation important?

Innovation is vital not only to individual businesses but also to Europe’s ability to compete in the global economy. Add this to the challenges of globalisation, climate change, migration and technological revolution and its clear that we need to support innovative solutions to create a viable and sustainable world for future generations.

SixSq’s entry to the competition focuses on energy-saving technologies for street lighting systems.

Please take a minute to vote for SixSq at https://ec.europa.eu/futurium/en/industrial-enabling-tech/sixsq so that we can be one of the 4 winners from this category and give us the chance to pitch our tech to a jury of experts. Just 2 clicks is all it takes. The poll closes 15 October 2017.

Thanks for supporting SixSq! And many thanks to the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation SERI, Euresearch and all our R&D project partners who have made this possible.
