R&D Project Software Engineer

The R&D project software engineer will support research projects (e.g. Horizon Europe), maintaining SixSq at the cutting edge of software development in the field of edge and cloud computing, and this in tight collaboration with the rest of the SixSq team.

SixSq is building the most advanced edge-to-cloud B2B SaaS platform: Following the acquisition of SixSq by Ekinops, we are growing quickly. We are looking for a R&D project software engineer who wants to join a multi-cultural and international team. As a R&D project software engineer you will support research projects (e.g. Horizon Europe), ensuring the SixSq contribution to these projects is delivered in time and at the right level of quality, in tight collaboration with the rest of the SixSq team. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in several exciting projects and deliver great value to customers and partners, ensuring SixSq remains at the cutting edge of software development. You therefore will be interacting internally with several team members, including the project coordination team and the SixSq DevOps team.

The core team is based in Geneva, in beautiful Switzerland. Remote working is possible in Switzerland, as well as from neighbouring France, Germany and Italy. In this case, regular trips to Geneva will be expected. As the company operates using mature agile methodologies, experience or interest in an agile way of working is required, since this is how we think and do things.

Expect to be given time and space to learn about our processes and current projects before jumping right into project work. As R&D project software engineer, we also expect you to be able to right technical notes and deliverables, pulling inputs from different technical team members.

Since we continue to operate as a scale-up, with the backing of a publicly listed company, you will have the opportunity to thrive in our fast moving, and exciting work environment.
