- You must register a Stripe account to receive payments from SixSq.
- Apps can be captured as a Docker Compose, Docker Swarm or Kubernetes manifest. Docker images must be uploaded to a public or private Docker registry. Images should be built for the intended hardware platform (e.g. x86 or ARM)
- The Nuvla registration form will also ask for a software license to protect you and your intellectual property.
- Apps can be free or paying. Paying apps generate a monthly fee, calculated daily, after a trial period of 24 hours.
- Payments are performed monthly, upon receipt of customer payment.

The Nuvla marketplace takes full advantage of the Nuvla platform, providing a complete lifecycle for apps deployed by customers on their edge and cloud infrastructures. App vendors and authors are able to provide updates regularly, which Nuvla can apply with customer consent. Furthermore, customers can add, remove and swap apps at any time, to support their evolving business.
IPR protection
The Nuvla marketplace supports private Docker registries and credentials. This ensures only paying customers have access to any given version of the Docker images, therefore protecting vendor intellectual property.

No lock-in
With the Nuvla marketplace of business apps, customers only pay for their consumption, by the hour, providing the freedom to change apps and app vendors at any time. This reduces the risk of trying something new so it benefits both app vendors and customers. The result is a no lock-in solution with minimum friction.
Automated payment
The Nuvla marketplace integrates with the Stripe payment system. Supporting both credit cards and bank transfer (e.g. SEPA for Euro transactions), payment management is handled automatically. Vendors have their own payment dashboard and customers can monitor in real time their consumption and access clear billing statements.
Simple pricing
The Nuvla marketplace pricing scheme is simple and transparent. The app vendor sets the price. The usage is metered by the day and invoiced monthly. SixSq takes a fee and pays the vendor the remaining amount on payment by the customer. The metering starts only after 24 hours, giving the customer time to explore and validate the purchase.
