Halfway Mark for H2020 Project ELASTIC

06 October 2020 | Geneva, Switzerland

Horizon 2020 was the biggest ever European Union Research and Innovation programme, with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020). In the first three years, the EU made contribution of €24.8 billion to 13,903 projects. More than a quarter of this money has been awarded to research and innovation for ICT, to projects such as ELASTIC. Quite rightly, H2020 project partners have to commit to a comprehensive set of deliverables against which they are assessed on an ongoing basis by the European Commission. The midway point of the project is therefore an important time for partners to step back and assess progress against objectives and milestones to make sure they are on the right track.

Despite the travel restrictions affecting all of us this year, ELASTIC consortium colleagues have taken advantage of online meetings and the use of communication tools such Slack to make sure that the team is pulling together and working hard towards its goals. Despite small setbacks caused by the pandemic to the Smart mobility use case in Florence, the partners are now confident that tasks are moving forward as they should be and are looking forward to taking on the challenges of the next stage.

If you want to read more about the project, there is a lot of material available on the website, including:
